Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Cum- hurbaşkanlığı Finans Ofisi Katılım Finans Birim Müdürü Tarık Akın’ın açılış konuşmasını yaptığı etkinliğin mode- ratörlüğünü TKBB Uluslararası İlişkiler Yöneticisi Fatma Çınar üstlendi. 2021 yılında Türkiye’de katılımfinansın görünümünün ele alındığı etkinlikte; yerel katılımfinans ekosistemi, düzenle- yiciler ve piyasa katılımcıları, çeşitli ürün alanları ile varlık sınıflarındaki gelişimgündeme getirildi. Türkiye’ninkatılım finans alanındaki başarısı ve geleceğinin de konuşulduğu etkinlikte, sektörünTürkiye ekonomisinin toparlanmasın- da oynayabileceği role de yer verildi. IFN Roadshow OnAir Turkey 2021 event took place virtually on April 21. The event started with the opening speech of Tarık Akın, Head of Participation Finance Department of the Finance Office of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey. It continuedwith the panel moderated by theManager of Inter- national Relations of the Participation Banks Association of Turkey, Fatma Çınar. The event, which discussed the 2021 outlook of participation finance inTurkey, provided a platformto discuss the domestic participationfinance ecosystem, regulators andmarket partici- pants, development invarious product areas and asset classes. The event also featured the sector's role in the recovery of the Turkish economy and further discussed the country's success and future inparticipationfinance. The speakers also aimed to answer the following questions during the event: • How can participation finance contribute to Turkish SMEs, corporate and public sectors and infrastructure development in financing? • What are the highlights and benefits of participationfinance? • What is Turkey’s competitive advantage in the area of partic- ipation finance and investment in 2021, and has this changed over the past two years? • What are the opportunities for Fintech inTurkey, across awide range of financial activities? In particular, does Turkey have a suitable legal framework to regulate collaborative financing, crowdfunding and wealth management? • What are your evaluations on the strategic actionsmentioned in the reform package for the development of participation finance architecture? • Where is the Turkish Shari’ah-compliant insurance and private pension sector today, in relation to its conventional equivalent?
